Vitória Régia Institute promotes meeting to align the project "Sustainable Citizenship in Itaqui-Bacanga"

On March 14, 2025, the Vitória Régia Institute held a strategic meeting at the Municipal Secretariat of Agriculture, Fisheries and Supply - SEMAPA in São Luís do Maranhão, to align the approved proposal for the project financed by the CAIXA Socio-Environmental Fund (FSA CAIXA).

The "Sustainable Citizenship in Itaqui-Bacanga" project has the following guidelines: Prepare, Preserve, Produce and Progress, aiming to strengthen the autonomy of the local population.

The Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Secretariat of Agriculture, Fisheries and Supply - SEMAPA, Mr. River Souza, was present. Representative of the Municipal Secretariat of Urbanism and Housing – SEMURH, Ms. Gabriela Melo, the president of the Vitória Régia Institute, Alex Keuffer, the project coordinator of the Vitória Régia Institute, Rosevany Valente, the team of the Vitória Régia Institute of São Luís, the six associations that will benefit from the project “Sustainable Citizenship in Itaqui-Bacanga” and the representative of the Maranhão Forum of Solidarity Economy, Ms. Maria Santana and the representative of the Municipal Council for Food and Nutritional Security, Ms. Rosilene Ferreira. The meeting aimed to align the guidelines and methodologies for the execution of the activities planned in the project, ensuring a structured and efficient approach in meeting the needs of the Itaqui-Bacanga community.

The Vitória Régia Institute reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and the promotion of citizenship, consolidating strategic partnerships to build a fairer and more balanced future for all.
